Great Hercules Globular Cluster

The Great Hercules globular cluster (aka M13 or NGC 6205) is a dense clustering of stars which can be seen using binoculars on a clear night. It is located in the “armpit” of the constellation Hercules

It was discovered in 1714 by Edmund Halley (of comet fame) and is 145 light year in diameter and contains many thousands of stars.
