As I sit here today, looking out over the gardens, it is a grey and miserable day and the rain is pouring down. The summer seems finally to have gone.
So I thought today would be a good day to look back at some of the wonderful insects and other invertebrates I have found this summer in the gardens.
But perhaps the best summer sighting was my first record for the gardens of a Marbled White butterfly.
