I was walking through Guys Hospital in central London earlier this week when I decided to take a different route and came across this memorial

The arch was unveiled by the Duke of York in 1921 as a memorial to the staff and students of Guy’s Hospital who had died in the first World War. Their 131 names are recorded on the south face. Following the second World War an additional 94 names were added on the north face.

The arch was relocated from its original location to this place in the gardens at the centre of the campus in 1994 during the redevelopment of the campus and hospital.
