The Blue Moon Butterfly or Great Eggfly is found in Madagascar, Southern Asia and Oceania. It has a wingspan of 75-80mm and is found in lightly wooded countryside. One unusual feature of this species is that the females ‘guard’ the leaves on which the eggs have been laid.
