Last week I posted about the snow and this week……
It was time for my monthly bird survey along the Thames at Greenwich Reach. In fact, it had been due last week but due to a combination of the snow, train strikes and unfavourable high tide times, I had to put it off till this week.

The sun shone down on a lovely day by the river, just as well as the bird count was remarkably sparse, pretty much only Black-headed Gulls on the river. I did however find 2 Redwing in a riverside garden, but that was the only avian highlight of the walk.
Still, it was a lovely day to walk by the river and Greenwich was resplendent in the sunshine.

One interesting thing I came across was this bench in Island Gardens decorated ready for Christmas

A Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year to you all.
