Bristol waterways

A recent trip to Cardiff and the West of England gave me the opportunity to spend my time revisiting some of my favourite cities. One thing I like to do when visiting Bristol is to travel through the old Harbour using the waterbus service.

This service runs from Temple Meads to the western end of the harbour via the City Centre. It gives you the opportunity to view the city from a different perspective.

It also has links into the history of the area and its maritime past.

More information about the History of the SS Great Britain can be found at https://wordpress.com/post/petesfavouritethings.blog/17019 and https://wordpress.com/post/petesfavouritethings.blog/17028

Also seen was the replica of the Matthew, the boat in which John Cabot sailed to Newfoundland.

And there are lots of other boats which have now made their home in the docks.
