Tarn in Sunshine

A warm Sunday morning and a walk around my local patch.

The Egyptian Geese and Mallard already have young and the butterflies are begin to emerge. Today I had four species – Orange Tip, Brimstone, Speckled Wood and Holly Blue, albeit I only saw one of each.

Holly Blue

The usual selection of waterfowl were present.

A single Stock Dove on the breakwater at the golf course end was a welcome sight. There have been 2-3 around over the winter and I wonder if they are breeding locally.
