A trip up to central London and lunch at Hay’s Galleria, where I came across this sculpture.
The Navigators is by David Kemp and was installed here in 1986 following the restoration of the Galleria into a shopping, office and accommodation complex. He was inspired by the historic images of the Wharf’s previous function, maritime commerce. It includes elements of Victorian adventures, sea voyages, Gothic fantasy and sea monsters.
