A walk at the Wetland Centre

I visited the London Wetland Centre last week to look for some early season butterflies and dragonflies. I only saw 3 butterflies ( a Peacock, a Speckled Wood and a Red Admiral) but the dragonflies did not disappoint with 5 species seen (Azure, Common Blue and Blue-tailed Damselflies, a Black-tailed Skimmer and 4 Hairy Dragonflies). In addition there were quite a lot of other insects to see.

On the way back to Barnes station I went for a walk on Barnes Common and added some new species to my list.
