


This statue called ‘Demon with Bowl’ is by Damian Hurst.
It stands 18 metres tall and is a copy of a small bronze statue found in a wreck in the Tigris valley, which was originally thought to be of Pazuzu. The Babylonian ‘King of the Wind Demons’ but this has been since questioned as the figure lacks features associated with Pazuzu such as wings and scorpion tail.
The Hurst sculpture can be found in Edmund Halley Way on Greenwich Peninsular near to the IFS Cloud cable car station.
