The birds were busy today in the garden. Had sightings of Great Spotted Woodpecker and Nuthatch along with the rarer sighting of a Treecreeper, which we only occasionally see in the garden. However it did not stay around for long as it ventured too close to one of the nest boxes and was aggressively chased off by the now resident Blue Tits.
The other interesting sighting was around 1030am when about 50 Black-headed gulls flew over going east. Where were they all going I wonder?
Went out to Lunch at Chapters in Blackheath and on the way back saw a Lesser Black-backed Gull over Eltham Churchyard. These are not common in the area so a good bird to add to the list.
