The History of Rome is a podcast tracing the history of the Roman Empire, beginning with Aeneas’s arrival in Italy and ending with the exile of Romulus Augustulus, last Emperor of the Western Roman Empire. This series is now complete (@ 179 episodes) but can still be found on iTunes or on Mike Duncan’s website (http://thehistoryofrome.typepad.com/) The website also contains a lot of supplementary material such as maps and links to other sources.
I finished listening to this about 6 months ago but undoubtedly will go back to hear it all over again such is the quality of Mike’s production and research.
