Lagoon Nebula

The Lagoon Nebula (aka M8 or NGC 6257) is a giant interstellar cloud found in the constellation Sagittarius. It is visible with binoculars or small telescope. It is 4000 to 6000 light years from Earth and measures 110 x 50 light years
