On our way to Lincoln, we stopped off at Kirkby gravel pits, a nature reserve run by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. The highlight here was the large nesting colony of Black-headed Gulls.

Common Wood Pigeon [sp] (Columba palumbus)
Common Chaffinch [sp] (Fringilla coelebs)
