Highlights of 2023 (1): Butterflies in Spain

So as I sit here thinking about my highlights of 2023, the first that comes to mind is the wonderful trip to Northern Spain and the great Butterflies we saw there.

Grizzled Skipper
Small Skipper
Apollo
Apollo
Pearly Heath
European Swallowtail
Bath White
Adonis Blue
Speckled Wood (Iberian form)
Adonis Blue
Iberian Marbled White

In 3 days we recorded 29 species of Butterfly, as well as 60 species of birds, 2 species of Dragonfly and a three-toed skink.
