Went to Manor House Gardens in Lee to see if I could see the pair of Kingfishers that had been reported there. The Gardens contain the Manor House, a large open area and a lake.
I spent about an hour searching the edges of the lake to see if there was a perched Kingfisher, but I couldn’t find one. On the island in the lake is a small Heronry and this year it looks as though there are 3-4 occupied nests.
After an hour I had to move on but although I hadn’t seen the Kingfisher, I had recorded 19 different species.
