This is a scale model of the locomotive majestic
It was an example of the Dean’s single class built between 1891 in 1899 by William Dean at Swindon. These passenger engines were originally broad gauge but were converted to standard gauge in 1892 when the great Western was forced to conform with the country’s other train operators. Majestic was named after the battleship HMS Majestic which was launched at the same time as the locos delivery to service. Majestic was withdrawn in 1913 and within two years the remainder of the class had also disappeared.

Beautiful locomotive!
